HISTORY:Sybbyl grew up in a camp full of everyone who loved her and loved each other. She was raised to believe in respect for others and for nature. To so kindness even to strangers or ones who might not be kind to her. It was a happy childhood, and she has fond memories of her life living with the Mage. When she was of age, the camp was traveling past the royal camp in Summer Land. She was allowed to meet the king.
Rowan de Bors wanted to bridge toe gap between then two worlds, and after spending some time with her made Sybbyl his wife and Queen. After years of marriage she even gifted him with a daughter! Syren. Ad a gift for her wedding and daughter, she was gift with an egg of a Phoenix! Such a rare gift, and one she has treasured and cared for over the years while waiting for it to hatch. It would take 20 years before it would be ready.
Sybbyl felt her life was complete, but felt that because she was a Mage that the people still did not trust her love for her husband. So on her daughter's tenth birthday, she used a powerful spell to gift all her powers to her daughter. It made her human. The gesture helped the people see her as the loving woman she really was.
Then, everything fell apart. On her daughter's coming out ball, she was taken from the castle! New came that the Winter King--a murder!--had her baby girl! Distracted by his daughter's kidnapping, and trying to ready his army for a war in the frozen north the king became a easy target. He was killed just a few weeks after her daughter was taken. The caught the assassin, and learned nothing more then it had come from the High Mountains!
Fearful for her daughter, Sybbyl sought to get her back at any cost! She felt groups of men, after men to seek out her daughter. Little of them returned but she only sent more and more! The people grew restless! Finally just a few months after her daughter was taken, s young man who claimed to her husband's son came with a army and took her crown! Her husband had apparently kept a mistress, and born around the time of her wedding was a son! Within a month of this crushing double blow the news came.
Her daughter had wed. There was to be a child. It broke her. She had done everything, lost everything in effort to claim her daughter back from this hell she had been dragged too . . . and she'd wed the man! Planed to give him a child and rule that kingdom instead of her own!
Everything she had lost became channeled into her daughter's betrayal and the hate she felt for everyone grew into hate for her daughter. Her daughter had torn her heart from her chest!
And she would do the same!
Sybbyl walked to her with all the casual unhurried grace she had in her. No one could know why she was in a hurry to seal herself off in her chambers with the gift she carried. In her hand was a gilded box, and she knew what was inside. Sybbyl felt a numb triumph fill her, and wasn't sure which it truly was. The nothingness of the numb, or the triumph of it finally being over.
She was dead.
Shutting the door behind her, Sybbyl locked it and carried the box to her desk. Sitting behind it she let her fingers trace the beautiful box. She had spend hours in pain while bringing her daughter into this world. She had laughed with her, cried with her, worried for her. When her daughter was taken, she had cried and felt a fear that no parent should ever feel. After the loss of her husband, Sybbyl had nearly crippled the army to send men into Winter Land, but few came back. The weather was too harsh, and none could make it far. Snow so deep they sank to their knees in places. Armor rusted. No food could be found. The wind storms kept fires out.
It was over.
Then that bastard of her husband's came and took her crown. Claimed to be saving the people from her! He took her kingdom! The people welcomed him when it had been SHE who had cared for them for YEARS! Then came the news. Her daughter did not need to be saved! She had married the man! She was bare him a child in the upcoming year! It was then she knew that her daughter must have been in on the plan for this to happen! All this happened because of her!
And now she was dead.
What was this emotion within her? It was not a feeling of pleasure. There was nothing here to make this a warm glow. Cold. She felt cold. Shaken. She had spent hours in pain giving birth to her daughter. Loving her and laughing with her. Taking care of her. And she was gone now. Her baby that she had cried upon holding for the first time. The child that she held her hands while teaching her to walk. Nursed when ill. A part of her own body.
. . . and . . . and she was dead.
Lifting own the box she looked down at the two hearts. One large and the other so small. It was done. It was . . . it was done . . . her hand shook as she lifted it, and touched the smallest heart. A child. It would have been her grandchild. Another baby to cry over when she held it for the first time. The heart shifted slightly and she noticed something thin and white on it. Lifting the heart softly with in her fingers she looked closer . . . .
A small part of a feather! This was no human heart! She was being tricked! Squeezing the heart until it crumpled in her hand she slammed the box lid down and let out a enraged scream! Damn her! She was toying with her now! Lifting the box, Sybbyl tossed it at the fire, and then screamed again swearing in her hear that she would have her daughter dead if it was the last thing she every did!
